Salomon Team Coming to Milo
Hey y'all, now that the snow is flying, people are getting hyped to go shred. Some of those people include the Salomon Snowboard team. Local artist & friend to all Dave Doman was recently injured in a skateboarding accident followed by a 2 week coma. Friends & local artist are throwing a fund raiser to help him with medical bills. So come show your support and some great art too!!!

CARPET BOARDING VIDEO CHALLENGE FROM THE GUYS AT AIRBLASTER, READ THE STORY ABOUT THIS VIDEO THAT THEY MADE AND THEN MAKE YOUR OWN!!
The post below with the basement boarding made me remember this little gem. What you see above is a Carpet Boarding video made for Nike. The star of the film is yours truly. I was asked to make this by a good friend Jesse Gibson who is the man behind the Robot Food films. Jess was working with Nike on a few little video shorts for their site and the idea of a Carpet Boarding video came up. For one reason or another I had gained a reputation for being good at carpet boarding and the invite to be part of this movie was given to me. Nike actually paid me a good amount of money to do this. I guess I can say I am a professional carpet boarder. I just need to wait till it hits the X Games and I am all set.
You might ask yourself, How did one of the Airblaster founders and owners become so good at carpet boarding? Well, friends it is simple. Back in the day when I would spend my fall just waiting for snow a good group of friends and I started spending hours carpet skateboarding in our house. We even built funny little contraptions we used as jibs. We would play games of skate all hours of the day. After years of this I guess I picked up a few tricks of my own.
I am going to open up a little challenge. It is open to anyone that wants to send in a little video short of them carpet boarding, trampoline boarding or whatever it is you do to get ready for the season. The video I like the best will get a new pair of 2010 Airgoggles. The videos must be shorter then 3 minuets and sent to us in the form of a Vimeo or Youtube link. This contest goes till the end of the month. All video links must be emailed to me at information@myairblaster.com by October 31st. I will pick a winner and post the winning video on our blog. Start making video magic friends!

Get Real & Nice Try Premiere Tomorrow
So there is a premier of the Transworld video, "Get Real", and People Creative's "Nice Try". The show is at the UofU Fine Arts Auditorium at 7pm. Word on the street is that some of the riders will be at the Milosport on 33rd south at 5pm along with Chipotle. Can you smell the free burritos? That is the rumor.....

SLVDR "Trash To Treasure" Program dropoff at Milosport!
The SLVDR "Trash To Treasure" program is a cool deal, it gives kids that are signed up for the local CHILL program thru the Salt Lake Boys & Girls club a chance to get out and learn to Skateboard just like everyone else. So bring in those old decks that are not broken or those trucks that you used for a couple of weeks that you did not like and Stoked some kids out!!

Some Photos of The BBQ/Skate for Cam at Guthrie skatepark
On monday June 15th, Milosport employees and two of Cam Eby's best friends, Trevor Brady and Jeff Richards organized an all day BBQ and skate session at Cottonwood Heights' Guthrie skatepark. The turnout was incredible, homies from all over Salt Lake showed up to have a good time in Cam's honor, just what he would have wanted. Some good eats were grilled, some hot moves were thrown down on the skate and Brock captured it all for a Cam remembrance DVD that he is making. Thank you to everybody that came out, you all helped to make this an amazing day. This event was so helpful for everyone to remember Cam and what he was all about: Family, Friends, Fun, Skating and Love. Roll forever Cam, we all love you.
